Default Wrenching Open House

Hey fellow shark tank residents.

This weekend is going to be a big re-assembly weekend. My family is away for another week so I'm spending every extra minute in the garage.

Feel free to pop by to check out my progress or lend a hand if you want. Plenty of cold beer in the fridge. Or just watch, it's all good.

This weekend I will be putting on my new belt, water pump, tensioner, powder coated intake, cam covers, water bridge, oil filler neck, plugs and wires, knock sensors, injectors etc.

Text nine zero five-4six4-235three

Adam

Take lots of pictures to share with those who aren't close enough to lend a hand.

looks like your doing a great job, I would suggest to make sure wash the intake atleast three times with car soap and hot water, and a tooth brush
then blow dry with compressed air,
This may seem redundant BUT if the intake was grit blasted then it will have grit inside it.
also chase the bolt holes with a tap and clean the holes they will also have grit.
Goodluck on your project

Hello Adam,

Are noob's welcome, dumbass questions and all.

I'd like to see the front end of the engine opened up, seeing as I'm due to check belt tension soon ( tb/wp replaced by PO just before I purchased car). What stage do you think you'd be at Sunday - not that I'm holding you to it - just a guess.

Cheers, Peter Hendriks

Nice powder coat job ... and good to see someone else who makes proper use of all domestic areas for parts layout ... you'll find that dishwashers, ovens, trays, and lots of kitchen utensils are also great for mechanical work
