Hi Rob,
so why can't you do a vin check for 1979 and under? Does 928 classic have different info that he can get? I jumped to the last pages so this might have been brought up before, 72 pages is alot to dig through. Thanks

The database derived from PET only covers 80 to 95, not sure why the functionality for 78 and 79 was not included. I assume that PCNA will sell you a COA with the info for '78 and '79, but I honestly don't know.

Wonder what happens when Jim Doerr sends in the VIN for ol' #1 to get a COA?

My last three numbers are 618 built Oct 78 is that car 618 or does it not work that way? Or should I ask Jim. Off topic this is my first posting in three years there's alot to catch up on lol.

Is it even worth getting a COA on early cars they tend to come back sparse on info but number one is different., would be nice in the Porsche museum.

On your home page you have an engine with 6,5 did you build a stroker motor is there a link to it?

Thanks for the links went through them this morning. Did you stay with the stock belt tensioner? Could you put a price range on building that motor and headers combo.

Stayed with the stock tensioner- we tried the PKT but the static tension was never higher than 3.8 belt units on a 9201. Total cost for engine and headers/exhaust was roughly $45K.
