Hi and welcome! Unfortunately we don't have options data for 1978 and 1979 cars. That VIN is for a 1979 Euro, and for a custom car at that price, whatever options it may have are immaterial from a valuation standpoint. Can you ask the seller for the engine VIN and the transmission serial number? That would be informative with regard to value.

The C99 country code is quite unusual, and only Porsche can tell you where it was delivered.
A 928S is not very unusual in Europe. A nice one is.

Sorry Mamabot, we only have options data for 1980-1995 Porsche 928s. No information regarding Cayennes. Seems like a lot of money for a pepper with an accident history.

I was told it was a minor repair in front. Paint match up. Etc. Got repaired right away. Porsche copd it afterwards. Can you see details?

Nope, just googled the VIN and got whatever ad popped up.

You should buy this instead- In 10 years it'll be worth 10 times what the Cayenne will be worth.

Thank you 928cs, much appreciated.

Details for the 82 sound correct but they can't be right for the 83 considering it's RHD?

I can not do better than the data available.
So, either:
- This is not the right VIN
- Porsche base is wrong
- The car was converted from LHD to RHD.

I suspect this is the first solution as WP0ZZZ92ZDS840809 is a UK automatic 928 S...

Do you have access to the car?

Well, there is something wrong here...
The font is not the one used by Porsche and it lacks the two "stars" on each side of the number.

Any sticker under the trunk carpet?

No sticker. There's something very dodgy going on here. Looks like I have some investigating to do. Thanks for your help.

Next step is to have access to the "hidden number", under the dashboard, then to contact Porsche.
With this number, they can tell you which car this is.
