Hi - Not Dubai, this was a New Zealand new car. It was imported by the dealer principal of Porsche Auckland back in 1993. I understand there were only 5 GTS's sold new in our little country, however there are more here now as used imports.

Something's not right about that VIN- if it's a US market car, it'd be WP0JA0922BS821260. If it's a Euro/Rest of World market car, it would be WP0ZZZ92ZBS841260, or WP0ZZZ92ZBS801260. And you're in New Zealand (?)

Are you getting that VIN off the plate by the hood latch or on the A-pillar by the left hand door?

The VIN is being found by running an online check against the rego plate. I agree there is something odd - I think it is a '81 model year car which is reportedly sold new in NZ, but not registered until 1983. It has a number of oddities about it: US spec headlamps, a fuel pressure regulator, and an 8-plug distributor cap.
This is compounded by an S4-type rear spoiler.
And the seller, a dealer, is known for selling cars he "knows nothing about."

I've asked for a pic of the VIN. The car is 400km and a 3-hour ferry ride away, so popping 'round for a look isn't really an option!
