How about another run of watches..?

Well, Martin, I don't actually have one of the watches in question to measure, but I have another one of the 7S26 watches to look at. On the watch in question, if you will look at the outer edge of the date/day window you will see that it is right at the inner edge of the actual chapter ring, the ring that has the hours and minutes on it, which in both of our cases is on the dial. The ring on the watch in question, with the 13 to 24 numbers on it is actually the "rehaute." The Rehaute reaches inboard just to the outer edge of the date/day window and so it will obscure the markings on the actual chapter ring printed on the new dial. About half of the hour markings on the new dial will show, but none of the minute/second markings.
I think some of these minor issues ought to be considered or there are going to be some unhappy campers when they get their watches.

It does look a little tight. I'll check with Duarte and ask him about that one. It could be that our dial will fit without the need for the chapter ring.

Here's what Duarte had to say about this series of watches:
Hey Shawn
I am fairly positive [the chapter ring] is attached to the dial. That is the case on all the Seiko 5 models I've seen. If it covers your dial design (it looks like it goes right to the outer edge of the day/date window.. it can be removed, and some of the case rehaut will be visible. No way to know how good or bad this will look without trying it, but probably will look OK.
