I host all my pictures on www.imgur.com and it will allow you to select the picture you wish to post and even generate the proper coding and you just copy and past here. Works better for me than hosting on the RL servers and is a bit faster to upload and manage image sizes imo.

+1 on that. I do the same thing. It's easier and you can insert text between the pictures.

My original post wasn't directed at you but yet you make it your mission to chime in. I keep repeating because MAYBE someone in charge will think about it. It's clear that you keep following what I post and where I post so its not a suprise to see your reply. However with the attitude of "shut up and do what you are told" you would have been a hoot during the civil rights era.

Pictures related to technical write ups need to be hosted on by the forum. There are tonns of threads with red Xs because the hosting site or the poster changed something.

You are an odd man, no question about it. I'm not following your posts but I do read them, mainly for amusement. As I read almost all of the posts in this forum. That is what a discussion forum is for. You posted that drivel again, in a technical forum and have taken this thread off topic. There is a help and suggestion forum you can post your concerns in. Once again I've called you out on it.

Someone at IB (the people who bought Rennlist years ago) made this decision after thinking about it a lot. It was the same when John D owned it. You can't seem to get over it after your "free" membership lapsed and IB wants you to pay for what you were getting free. Sure you paid once or twice but in your dishonesty you thought you should still get the same things with out paying for it. Had you been an honest person with a bit of integrity you would have told IB that you had not received a payment reminder to re-up your membership. So you continued the free ride and are now continually crying about it.

Get over it.

To be fair The Flying Scottsman brought it up first. I have many times said why I won't pay for a membership when I supply the content and they make advertising revenue. It has zero to do with the money. I throw away 10x that amount every month. It has everything to do with principle. Just because I won't drink the Koolaid doesn't mean I don't have something to add to the discussion.

And I also thought that because there was advertising they would become like the rest of their sites and be free. (Or maybe they thought I was witty and looked cute).

Also he doesn't cry about it EXCEPT when someone tries to deride him for not giving an extra lining to IB's pocket. I do the same. Just like the porkensioner take it or leave it, but don't spew bull**** in hopes of making a point.

I'm pretty sure you can post pictures here without any membership or external hosting. In advanced message mode. Add an attachment

Yes you are. As a non member, you only can post 10 or so pictures. Then you have to delete them or go to another site, host them there, then get the code to come here and paste that code here so others can see the picture. Now if the host makes a one character change to ANYTHING in the code required to locate the picture, that picture will not show up. If you move it to a new folder, change the name, or any other multitude of things that you would do in the normal course of day today actions, the pictures will no longer show up. If the site who is making money off of your hard work to take the time to post pictures and provide support to others, they should host the pictures. No need to pay an extra $18 that no other site does.There are many threads where the photos no longer show up.
