Who won the last time we raced? I seem to remember a split decision. I can't wait to race our cars against one another again. It's all ways a blast.
Hmm....that was a while back, spring 12 I think when we 1st got the new cars....that was the 4 race 928's on track with NCRC.....I won the 1st race and you got the 2nd (how did that happen) and Jeff and Rick had fun battles with the Estate and 443 (old engine)

That was when we both had transmision shifting issues....ended up racing in 1 gear, since it was faster than endlessly missing 4th gear..... Here was the 1st race

We really need to get 52 running again......even with its 5L "cheater" engine

Congratulation Brian,

Winning any series championship is great. In most of cases, just showing up, racing, and finishing is a challenge.

it is!

I have one guy that has burned thru -3- rookie books in the 2013 Norcal season.

He simply cant keep the red mist out of his head and make clean consistent racing decisions for one whole freaking race. At one point he was suspended for two events..but came back again.

Almost got the rookie book signed off, until he spun into T10 at sears....and that's enough to not get a sign-off for a day as a rookie, one little mistake.

His goal was to be in the 25, but he has too many red-mist issues to deal with.

I'm a tough RD. Im friends with everyone at the track..they've known me for years. But not a one ever asked me over for dinner.

Funny you say this, because , YES, i was! they originally were using the rule to average ALL HP with torque and divide by two. after a quick lesson of the basic physics involved and beating them over the head with it for a few weeks, they got it and removed the lower torque than HP averaging.
(really stupid, because a cup car with 250 rwt has 400rwhp and the "rule" would make it only 325rwhp, for a car that puts down an average of 375rwhp over any of its gears in a race! )

the averaging for higher torque than HP works for many of the v8s, due to the flat HP curve vs many of the turbos that have the same HP but only at peak.

so, yes, i was invovled at the beginning of the GTS rule debacle.
