Default S4 5 speed GTS clone

Anyone see any resemblance to a GTS apart from the rear bumper????

It has GTS wheels too - that's about it...

'87-89 steering wheel with extended hub, replica Cup II's, '87-89 dashboard (with cap on pod) and parcel tray, '89 5-speed digidash, 85-'90 shifter, functional LCD clock, RMB, clean engine compartment. Oh yeah, GTS rear bumper cover. No GTS fenders.

Looks like a nice mostly unmolested '89 5-speed that got spanked on the bottom at some point. I'd hit it.

Missing the best part which is the GTS rear flared fenders. So what did they add to make it a GTS clone? The PSD system?

Nice car tho. 89 is a great year and 5 speed to boot!

Anyone that has ever gotten rear ended and had to replace the S4 bumper cover with a GTS one can now offer their car as a GTS clone. Go marketing!

That may be good for someone getting a good deal on a 5-speed

I sent him a message asking what all was done besides putting on a GTS bumper, listing everything they would have to do in order to make it a clone. Should be an interesting to see the reply.

Maybe looking at the rear from 20 feet away. I'd want the stock '89 bumper cover all day long over that thing. To me it's akin to the M and AMG badges affixed to the rears of terrestrial Bimmers and Mercs respectively. False advertising. Which always strikes me as odd since really only the enthusiasts are distinguishing enough to notice anyway (and, at least in my case, put off by it).

I also prefer the orig bumper to the replacement gts one and I think it's cool being part of the few and the proud that can tell the differences in the MY

I think he's saying ... Hey most girls won't know the difference wink wink.. And that's not an exaggeration ;-)

You guys missed all the "options"!

"has optional features of air conditioning, cruise
control, power steering, power brakes (upgraded as part of the GTS package), power windows, power door locks, power seats, sunroof, alarm system and AM/FM/CD with Alpine amp. "

See, it even has power steering!

All kidding aside, excepting the pod and warped dash covers and an insignificant missing window corner trim piece, which he shows clearly in photos, it looks like it could be a nice 89, very clean underneath with a very clean and unmolested engine compartment, that suffered a rear ender (that would require some inspection).

Nice of them to include a picture of the key code.
