Warning about Partwerks of Chicago....
I don't know what happened to them. I paid for an item 7 June and they have been completely unresponsive to phone calls and emails, except for a call telling me the item would be arriving any minute on 5 July.
Nothing since.
In case you want to see for yourself here's a link.

I can honestly say that this happened to me with PW, I was unhappy. They finally did call wondering why I had my credit card payment reversed. I told them because they never shipped the part, they would not respond to phone calls or emails. They said would ship the part I bought, if I still wanted it. I said no thanks, and left it at that.

About a year ago, I had my LH controller rebuilt through them with no issues. Since then, there have been quite a few unhappy rennlisters telling horror stories. I've avoided them since.

Simon, my guess is they sold it to someone else, so good luck getting it from them. Expect 3 months of silence and/or difficulty. I'd suggest getting your money back.
As far as the LH rebuild goes, don't even bother going to them. They do not do it themselves as they have no idea what to do with them. They send it off to a guy from Germany, or in Germany. If you really do need an LH rebuild, contact me off list. 'Sab' was going to go through me, but found a cheaper place, and regretted it.
Part Werks tried to make me pay for a rebuild that I did not tell them to do, and when I asked for one back, I got one that had been gutted 8 months later, and then about a month later got another one that had also been tampered with, but had all the chips, so I just left it at that. DO NO BUSINESS WITH PART WERKS!!! I'd rather send my money to company that supports the 928 community anyway... Hope you get this taken care of Simon!

C'mon... be nice to Detroit. It has a bad stigma, which is often perpetuated by people that haven't been there in a while... or ever.
I visit often and have found many great places and things to do... in downtown! ...and the burbs too.
Okay, so the "people mover" blows (Coleman Young's idea of mass transit HA!)
And I know..... the roads. ICK
But Greenfield Village, Henry Ford Museum, Greektown, Comerica Park, Hamtramak blues, and an Excellent new airport! Good stuff.
Lest we forget where our "other" cars come from. It IS the motor city and will be for a long time.

Understandable. I remember my first trip to d-town with the fam to Tiger Stadium. I saw all the rundown homes off the highway (Hamtramack I-75), and it made me very sad.
When I pass by old beautiful brick homes on Grand River, and see them burnt out/gutted... it make me think of the motor city hayday. I wish I could've seen D-town back in the twenties. It must've been amazing!
