RIDE HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT QUESTION
#31
When I did my shocks, I had very little to no corrosion on my pin (item 22 on the diagram). I put anti seize on that pin to ease future removal. So I torqued one side of the pin while holding the other side. However, when I checked the other side it was a tad lose and had to repeat the torqueing on that side also.
So just make sure you to check torque on both sides of the pin.

Well Guys,
Had the alignment done with the new normal ride heights, and still off on the rear cambers by 0.1 deg from spec. It did improve slightly from the first measurements, but it appears I have a 'sag'. New bushings for the UCA dogbone next at bat. My thanks to all, and too Stan.

The UCA bushings are easy and quick to do. You should be able to press them in with a vice and a large socket (on the other side to allow some clearance) if a press is not available.

The fellow at the Sears alignment shop said he has a press and will set them in. Though I like doing all the work on the car, I'll let him pop the UCA's off and on while I'm there - it's a quick get, and he's a car guy (old Mustang). He'll then re-align too.

Right now it's dark, very windy from the South, and 65 deg. Has an almost tropical feel to it. Last night I had to get some wood going it was so chilly. Glad it rained heavily today - washed the salt from the roads that was laid down two days ago when we had a freeze over. Means another weekend on the road before bedtime.
