I have a BMW 635 CSI and several Porsche 928 S4 engines. Can they meet? Anyone who has heard of such a swap?

They won't just bolt together, if that's what you mean. But it doesn't require a Herculean effort either. An adapter plate, custom motor mounts and numerous wiring and plumbing issues that are no different than most other engine swaps.

That's a brilliant way to solve the CEL codes thrown when the secondary air passages fill up with soot, just transplant into a pre-OBDII car.

I will never forget the first ride I had in an E39 M5, would love to own in Avus blue, someday.

I would think for the cost to make such you could buy a decent 928S4 and an M5 and enjoy both [I was planning for an M5 but went for the Cayenne Turbo S- life is tough so one has to make compromises now and again].

To be fair the M60 motor is awesome but the E39 stats are only marginally less. Both great motors having design features that Porsche could have benefitted from.

Regards

Fred
