That color, those wheels and headlights, and the cleanliness all go together to show that even 30 years later it is still one of the best looking cars on the road. Cars like this one and the black low-miler that just sold are what all 928's should look like and then there would be a whole different respect/impression of the 928.

Name of the color? any interior shots?

Congrats! The cars look amazing. I've been a 911 owner for the past 24 years...i love the 928 from the first time i saw it...so I'm glad to now own both of these fantistic Porsches.

It is a deep rich color described as "Blue Metallic." I don't know the actual color code on the door jam, but I will check at our next Kaffeeklatsch.

Don't have a good shot of the seats, but they are beautifully upholstered in matching color, with a slightly lighter variation in the center having the Porsche Script angled across the center sections.

It's a great car and he really takes care of it.

I think it is the original "Iris Blue" which is lighter than the darker "Iris Blue" of the 1990's. Beautiful.

The Red 928 S4 took "2nd-in-Class," so there was much to celebrate yesterday.
Congrats David and well deserved.

Very nice indeed.

Just last night. I got a comment from an mid-80's 911 SC owner on mine --
"That's a very nice 928 you got there" with a "I've been looking to get me one of those".

Mine has a long ways togo before it looks as good as those concourse winners.
I'm almost to the point were the wife might actually ride in it :-)

Honestly having worked on my 928 for the nearly 3 years -- I think it is far more impressive to have a running 928 than a 911.

Just a lot more "challenges" to work through..... But I think for those that have
kept up with their 928's -- other folks are starting to appreciate them

cheers,

Mike

Thanks to all for the nice comments, I actually own that
silver blue 928s. David's 928s4 is also a fantastic car.
I owned that 928 for 16 years now and still am thrilled to drive it.
The color is actually called " Schieferblaumetallisch" which translates to
Slate blue metallic, i have not seen many 928 with that color.
I will post some interior photos as soon as i can.

Hi Andy,

Yes, it does feel great to see two 928's with 1st & 2nd in Class. And to see one of them taking the Best-In-Show" Award even better!

A thirty year PCA member with a big smile on his face came by and said sincerely, "how often have you seen two 928's win awards at a concours event?" He considered it a significant accomplishment.

Used your tips, suggestions, and demos from the 2012 OCIC in Wichita to get the red one ready for the event. Many thanks for the encouragement to forge ahead using the tools available.
