Default Steering wheel

Hi all.

I think the steering wheel in my 81`model is a little on the big side, I would imagine that a smaller wheel would suit me fine.
So; is there another Porsche wheel that will swap directly?
Or, what wheel would fit? Pictures from anyone that did the mod?

Cheers
Jørgen

There is a factory sport steering wheel but I believe it's big $$. You can see a pic of it at www.928gt.com .

I got this highly obnoxious number for my track car for only $37.30 plus shipping from Hong Kong. (Requires hub adapter)

Don't buy a steering wheel with exposed metal spokes or center area - unless you only drive with a helmet.

Unlike newer cars, the 928 doesn't have automatic belt tensioners, and it is quite possible that your head strikes the center of the wheel after an impact. You don't want to have your forehead cut-open or crushed by sharp edged, bare metal.

Is there a smaller diameter 944 steering wheel that could be modified to fit?

Default MOMO

Here's the MOMO Tuner 350 + MOMO hub adaptor that I bought off an "auction site" for $266 shipped. That was before I knew of this forum and its sponsors, or else I would have supported their business and would have bought it from them. It was very easy to install, except for the steering wheel "wave" washer. I went to Ace and just bought a flat washer which made it possible to tighten the wheel against the hub.
