1993 GTS @ Willhoit

Take a look at the mileage when we did the PPI many years ago. The cars speedometer has been fixed since then since it registers about 25 more miles than when we did the inspection.
The community is not being silent on the rest of his cars because he has a great reputation for having great cars. Hence my surprise when I saw this one in his inventory.

I have a GTS that was sold in 1992 but has a P VIN so in North America its considered a 1993 model.
I believe it was of the very first GTS models sold in Canada/North America......wonder what MW would value the car at?
btw....its a 5 speed

And the flip side--do your homework and get a PPI for ANY car you buy...
I will stick my head out there on this car. Don't even look at it. Jim, Roger and I did the PPI a few years ago and since we did the PPI for Chuck, it's on the registry.
Now Wilhoit has great cars, and I hope he has fixed the issues on this one but it surprises me that he has his hands in this car. It was a fvcking mess.

At that time, I'd have not given more than $10k for the car. Looking at the pictures you can see some of the faults I noted have not been addressed. The instrument cluster is still a shambled mess of de-lamination and unless it has had a repaint, there are several shades of black on the car.

I nominate having one day each year as "MW day" on the 928 forum. You know, where every post has to be in caps with large text and a bunch exclamation marks after trite expressions. E.g.:
“THAT ENGINE ISN’T JUST CLEAN ROB EDWARDS—THAT’S WALTER WHITE LABORATORY CLEAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
or
“ONE LOOK AT THOSE PHONE DIAL RIMS AND I’M SPORTING A 10-FOOT HARPOON IN MY PANTS!!!!!!!!”
I wonder what day his b-day is?

Regarding the rotors - that is how they come from the manufacturer and it is called "coated". The complete rotor is grey and one or two applications of the brakes removes the coat. Also not meant to be removed prior to installing. Sebro and Zimmerman use the same coating.
I guess in the case of this car they are the original rotors and they did spray the hats.

'Course the car will still drive and run. I've never thought to ask myself the question of if the odo works "internally" or if you can drive the car around and not record miles.

Based upon your PPI I would opine that fuse 24 (or is it 7?) was blown and that's why the cluster was mostly non-op.
