in the middle of a TB WP...couple questions

Took a look at an auto that's in-progress.

The line is question is, indeed, one of the transaxle cooler lines. The oil return line 928 307 073 01 (for an '87) The 'hose' is part of a hard line that goes under the car to above the cats to a fitting to another hard line.

It looks to me, because of the bends in the hard line, that if you want to use the factory part, you'll need to drop the engine carrier. Might as well do your oil pan gasket and motor mounts WYAIT.

I''ve no doubt that someone on Rennlist as figured out how to replace just the hose part. Or, if you want to do the job once and never worry about it again, Greg Brown's making replacement lines (I think) for those.

Thanks for that info....there is a whole lot of "while you are in there" with these cars isn't there?
