OP - go download the workshop manual, and carefully read the bits on front suspension.

Your car should have adjustable fronts (earlier 928's didn't always - really early never did).

IIRC WSM details which springs, perches, collars etc. pretty carefully, as well as providing dimensions.

Buy some used adjuster collars from 928intl - both the threaded inner ring, and the outer adjuster nut which the spring perch rests on top of.

Yes, the 928 koni's use the same design as the later model boge units which are meant to use the adjustable perches. The dust covers can tend to be a tight fit though to get on them.
