Great thread James! I too remember when this car kept popping on Craig, sitting in the barn in South Dakota and looking for some love.

Saw it Saturday and looks great in person. Also learned for the first time that GTS's have a completely different fuel filler door and hinge ... who'd have thought??

James will have to ship her to me so I can take some very thorough measurements and and make several samples. Test fit. Retry. Test fit. Retry. Something tells me I may take awhile trying to apply graphics on that thong with the model attached.

James, what do you think of the outcome of the paint-by-panel method? I've done it before on a metallic and was not happy with the outcome. I've heard that a single stage paint, or a non-met job comes out pretty good.

Also, did the painter mix up each batch as he shot, or did he mix one batch, and just dole out paint to the gun each time he was ready for another panel? It's been my experience, although limited that the best way is to mix all your paint at once, and then keep it sealed when not in use, then shake and spray when ready. Of course, if using a catalyst that can't be added until it goes in the gun.

Finally a little bit of video of SUPER BLU! Not quite as good as I wanted, but we didn't have a lot of time to play...I will get better video at some point. Probably later this spring or summer. Hope you guys like this.

Here are a couple of recent stills of SUPER BLU! Man this car is fun to drive. Makes all the others feel S-L-O-W!!! Also since it is my FAV color every time I roll up to it in a parking lot or roll away from it I just can't help but smile and stare! It is just SOOO beautiful! A few interior upgrades (hello Paul Champagne and Robert Budd!) and this baby will be completely DONE...Oh, I need to install the under hood pad from Nicole and I have been kicking around the idea of clear side markers and blinkers as has been suggested by a few folks...

I think smoke/clear side markers/blinkers would be awesome.

This car is just wonderful to look at!
