Thanks T! She is not nearly as nice as Just Beachy, but considering how rough the car was and for how long it sat neglected and sad and not running, I'm quite happy with things so far!

Default see easy to change title James

Hey James... you forgot a couple of things. Like the remote kick down switch or fob.

Also for everyone's information. That Ashtray gauge will fit into any year 928. It just snaps right in, no fuss no hassles. I can program it to display any gauges you would like... AF, WB, boost, accelerometer, temps, anything...

Thanks Vic!

Didn't realize how flexible that ashtray gauge was, that is awesome!!

Yea, Vic put in a remote kick down module for me. Works off either of two fobs, so I velcroed one just behind the upper left spoke of the steering wheel. You can't see it from the drivers seat, but its right where your left index finger reaches, so when I'm ready to kick down I just press button and off I fly!!!

Based on the title I thought this was a thread about getting the blue brake fluid back on the market.

I can't get the gasket on the crest...
You need the Porsche gasket as the cheap aftermarket gaskets most supply do not fit.

So this is a supercharged 5.4 liter GTS engine not a swapped S4 engine? I'm asking because GTS owners have been scared to supercharge or turbo their car due to the connecting rods.

Love the color. Blue is one of the best colors for the 928.

namasgt,

Let them be scared. I have talked to several folks about it who know these engines better than just about anyone other folks in the world and they didn't have a problem with a low boost set up like I am running (about 5psi max).

Some have made interesting arguments about it as well...but I won't start that thread here. Still early days but it sure is a fast 928! The install is neat and clean and looks like it could have come from the factory like this! SWEET!

Runs super smooth too. I have had two times where it was rough after a hot restart. Like all 928's that start to run rough for no good reason I just disconnected the battery for 20 min and bingo no worries...started right up and ran like a top. No idea why this happens but I suspect a sensor that the injection/idle stuff uses isn't working quite right.

By the way Vic tells me my system is somewhere between a stage 1 and stage 2 set up. My mechanic had NO problems taking it out or putting it right back in when it came time to change the timing belt either! SO SWEET!

I tried that but didn't have any luck...I'll try that again if I need to.

When just trying to put it on the hood to look at it one of the "mounting pins" broke off...WTH?! Anyway, a new one is supposed to be coming soon, but I have not seen it yet. I just put the old one back on (and it does not have gasket on it for some reason...) I didn't screw it down really tight, but it looks better with SOMETHING on it. The Red/White/Blue nickle finish will look STUNNING once I have it!

I have a 1987 S4 that needs saving..I cant post in the classifieds or it would be there. Email for pics and video walk around if interested...it is 90 percent complete, just wrecked in rear, salvage title. Marineblau metallic, awesome tires, doors shut perfect, really good paint.
