Ollieleven,
Slowly remove more plastic around the magnet with the Dremel tool.
The magnet will eventually come out.
I had the same problem with mine.
Look at post #5 here.
Good luck.

Cool i'll have a "delicate" dremel session tomorrow. fingers crossed!
once i get it out i need to wire a new connector in as my harness connectors were shot. Thats going to be a barrel of laughs too no doubt as there is no slack in the cable.

So i got he magnet out by cutting deeper into the plastic the long nose pliers to pull it out. then tried tapped the hole and got bolt, washer, nut and bit of pipe but didn't budge.
Then i screwed in a big M10 coach screw until it drew up all the remaining plastic housing and copper wire coil inside.
now i have just the thin metal outer sleeve left inside. but it's not moving tried screwing a screw into the base to pull up but no dice.
running out of ideas

When I pulled the CPS out, the lower metal part separated from the top plastic section and stayed stuck inside. Just like you.
I couldn't remove it from the top. I pushed on it from the top with a big screwdriver and a hammer if I remember well.
It went down and I picked it from under.
Good luck.
