this unit does not have an adjustment. when the kid naps today im going to check the power going to the module and see if its getting all it needs. the motor is a rocket on direct power, but only spins for a few cm before it just stops when the switch is pushed. so i i know the tracks good etc. just need to to narrow it down,.... lol

See what I actually wrote - much more detail. ... usually motors go from working to not working (at all) pretty quickly they don't usually gradually decline... This appears to have been an issue here for a while...
Particularly in this instance worn bearings or damaged/corroded commutator/ worn out brushes were rather unlikely scenarios, as indeed has been born out by testing with direct power.
In the end the goal here is rapidly closing on the fix that is actually required -assuming a worn out motor would have resulted in an expensive parts change with no improvement to symptoms.
Identifying the best easy test cases helps eliminate assumptions that might be expensive mistakes - Thats what its all about right?

Depami,
Re your post #30, and again +1 to Alan post #32.
Here is a good engineering and electrical term "US/RS" referring to the DC rotors shown in your enclose photographs.
I Cannot see that the rotors or commutators are tired? The Oxford English dictionary states "tired" as "had enough of", "am sick of" and "am exhausted with". As the motors are are inanimate they there cannot experience tiredness.

Haven't the time to read through this entire thread Ducman, but you can have my sunroof motor and any other part of the sunroof mech if you want it. Worked perfect.
