Nice read! I jumped into the shark tank a few years ago. I drove it hard and loved every minute of it. (See avatar) i did some fixing along the way, which I would not have been able to do without the forum community.
I am now digging in to the front end of the engine to do my first TB WP replacement.

Leo, you're a man after my own heart. I can't wait to get this thing running and flog the hell out of it.
They seem to run better this way.

Thanks for the compliment, these forums truly are indispensable.

Another great read Pablo! Can't wait to read the article when you fire her up and pull out of the garage with a huge smile on your face. This happens to me every time I take mine out! What a car!

Loved it! How often are you shooting for doing articles? Monthly? or as you repair more things?

Speaking of rocks, it's clear you've done a good job of flipping them over on your own. But, one epic thread/story that has a nexus is online at: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...re-begins.html
There may be a similar one here...hopefully I don't get flogged for the cross-reference.

Thanks so much Rick...and I've never driven one so you can imagine the kind of excitement that's in store.

Brad, I am aiming for once a month. There's always something to write about as this preservation is really all about the details. I'm not trying to re-invent the wheel, the idea behind the articles is to also give some non-928ers a glimpse of what they're all about; an introduction of sorts but a bit more intimate and hopefully entertaining. You've gotta have a sense of humor when working on these babies.

SMT, thanks for the link! I love to read about other 928 adventures since there is so much to learn from eachother...it's all inspirational. It kinda looks like my car too.

Mike, thanks for the encouragement! You guys are amazing.

Pablo, If you haven't yet bought a fuel accumulator, you can have the one from my car, I converted to straight LPG ( propane) and removed the entire petrol fuel system.

Great read...similar stuff in my thread...

https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...ue-thread.html

I too need a fuel accumulator....and I hate the fuel lines, I want to get some braided ones with the correct porsche fittings on them.....one of these days.....

Love your article!
