what about those door speakers - seen that before? Not a 79 option, imo.

yes, those are the correct door speakers, all the early cars had the perforation in the door panel with speakers behind. Anything else was after market.

Thanks guys.....not the speakers behind the perforated part of the panel. There are also speakers in thecrear end of the door....by the pascha.

Tony....what kind of child seats fit the 928? Your kids seem to enjoy the 928.....smart little ones.

I think those seats were a brand called "Baby Love". I don't know if it was an international brand or an Australian brand. They were the only seats I could find at the time that fitted. It was many years ago, my daughter is now 12 and my son is now 10, and there's a third child too, which really curtailed the use of the 928 for family touring.....!

Cool....did teh seats sit tight even though they are only fastened by the lab belt?

Yeah, they fitted very snug and secure.

aha - didn't see that the first time. They are definitely aftermarket.

Not a very ideal place to install speakers for a number of reasons including looks like an irreversible modification, but I wouldn't let that be a show stopper if you like the car. I really like the color and pasche interior.
