Just looked up the performance tests and it looks like it would be about the same performance as a S4 in stock form. 5 years newer though and you still have crappy build qaulity wrapped around a great engine.

Joe, to his their own. Enjoy it man. When I switched from Jaguars to Porsche, my father asked me: "What!? From the Prince of Darkness to the devil himself!?" Have fun with it.
...besides.... Burt Reynolds got to bang 1977 Sally Field!

The question is are S4's really this bad? The starting off in 2nd gear and the 2.20 must really slow the 928 down. Either that or the owners don't understand the car well enough, maintain it well enough, or just don't know how to drive.
But there have been a lot of predominantly S4 guys selling or complaining of slowness from what I have been reading lately.

Firebird was the last of the best cars from Pontiac sadly they dont make them anymore which I think cause them to fold.
Yea it will be a better ride it is a newer car with modern luxuries and it had many revisions unlike the 928 which it had only a little and never made it past the 2000 mark.
How much did the bird cost anyway?

Evidently you never rode or drove in one of the 2008-9 Pontiac G8 GTs or GXPs.

I have great memories of driving a 81 Turbo Trans Am. I found the later models looked great off the show room floor but didn't age well due to poor build quality.

Well congratulations It's not something I truly like, but if your happy that's all that matters. Looks like you got some nice Corvette wheels to go with it too, what's the mileage on the beast ?
