But I do not want to move from 11 to 10.5 - I like wide.

That's cool. What size tire would you like to use?

'This one goes to 11'

A couple quick notes about how Kickstarter works...

If you become a project backer and choose a reward,
you do not have to pay until the end of the project,
and only if/when the project meets its funding goal before the deadline.

Goal $28,928
Ends Aug 8th 12:07am EST

Becoming a backer means you are contributing to the project's success,
not only by buying wheelsets, but by all contributions toward any reward.

Thanks in advance for your continued support!

Bump for 2 weeks left to go!

We need about 4 more wheelset backers,
and a bunch of t-shirt/poster/license plate backers too!

Our community has always been very gracious... to me any many others.
I know I'm asking a lot from ya'll... but just imagine about how cool it will be to see these Phone Dials on our 928's!

...And we can say we all made that happen, together as a community.

Have you devised a way to post this on Jalopnik? There is a large number of people who may support you there.

FWIW, I found Kicktraq to be an easy way to follow the project and see how it's trending.

I can say I tried, Brendan. That's a tough nut to crack! Would be easier if I knew someone who blogs there, for sure.

This project is my first attemp at large-scale marketing... learnin' a lot, fo sho!

So, I don't even really want phone dials. I think they are cool and all, but not really what I'm looking for. You know what I do really like and think is super cool? That's right, you Jim Doerr.
I don't have a lot of scratch, but if this is gonna make you happy, then I'll pledge some. Every little bit helps, right?
Make your dreams come true, little Jimmy! Make your dreams come true!

Well said, Bob! Jim Doerr is Da Man! This could not have come as far as it has without him! He is great to work with, having a good ear, excellent communication, and hard CAD skills. Hear, hear!

Thank you, Jim, for moving this idea as close to reality as we have come thus far!

^^^^ thanks guys!

Looks like we have another backer for a custom wheelset... AWESOME!

I think I know who it is... Carlos, you've been hot for a set of these for a while... couldn't wait any longer, huh? BIG thanks, Man!

Wish I could buy a set! I'll have to wait for a used set to hit the market ...but I can't imagine anyone ever wanting to sell a set!

(Actually, Kickstarter won't let me back my own project, go figure!)

Back your own project through a 3rd party?

You guessed it! I upgraded my pledge!

I was not going to get the wheels until later - the 86.5 stroker motor still needs more work before I am happy with it - 044 Fuel Pump, Accusump, Exhaust changes, Sharktune - but I have a bit of personal interest in seeing these wheels get manufactured!

Let's make it happen, folks! We are a lot closer now!

Anyone want different rewards or combinations of rewards? I suggested to Jim that he needed more different combinations of rewards.

He could do that, but the Kickstarter restriction actually makes sense. It assumes the project initiator has already taken into account everything they can put into the project. And I know, personally, more than Jim will admit, he has put quite a lot into this project.

That is why, he is Da Man!

And I get that, I'm sure he has way more into it than we would like to know. Just had to be the one to suggest the dirty

I'm sure I'll be able to buy a set down the road... in the meantime I'll take a t-shirt and poster.
