Smile Restoring the GTS

To FredR, tell you the truth i have another 928 S4 1989.I am working on this car to bring it life for about one year.

Through this time i build a big experience on working on these cars.I have all the manuals and the links world wide to get spare parts.

So i am called now Shaikh 928 .

As i wrote before i had the GTS for about two weeks.I follow your advice and i planned to do full restoration for the lovely silver shark.I started to order all parts required to bring this beast back live.

Something new i did not did on the S4 is i am going to send the LH module and MAF for rebuild and the PSD too.

Thanks again guys and you too Tails.

The red S4 will finish this week and i will see what a year of work output

Of course guys i am open to the experts and your advices

Great stuff- good to know someone in KSA is caring for a couple of these cars. Have not been in KSA since 1987 [I was made redundant when Sheikh Yemani lost his Ministry].

If you have done your homework correctly then you will know what 928 ownership entails and it should be relatively easy for you to get the GTS to where it needs to be and thus stop it from it grenading.

I doubt the GTS MAF will need rebuilding - the S4 another matter depending on mileage/number of starts. Sending a MAF to John is a good thing as he will calibration check it.

LH computers can and do fail any time and having John rebuild the LH is a good thing- for the two 928's you have the computers can be interchanged.

I doubt the PSD unit has failed -hopefully a good flush will solve that one. Your S4 does not have this unit fitted.
