Bill and group,
Yes I will be their with my 928 Electric. Still my daily driver
Since we met last...It has a Lithiuim pack in it and one year ago changed to a real controller ! Can control amount of oversteer great with the throttle. The old teck. controller was a bit scary in the rain, because you never knew when the power would increase mid corner :

Jeff: I already have one RSVP from Jeff McCabe. I wonder if he still has his electric 928.

I drive electrically every day now, and find it totally addictive. It will be odd to get back into the 928 again and "vibrate" and "scream" down to the event...
I need a quieter exhaust - might put the stock muffler back on.

Actually, I find the "dark side" pretty bright...
It has completely shifted my perception of what makes a good automobile for daily use, and it feels really weird to get back into the 928, or those (relatively) loud rental cars. It feels like a journey back in time, when things weren't as refined...
Maybe I should bring the electric chair instead of the shark? Hmmm... the shark really needs to get out of the garage for a change.

HP = V x I x Eff
746
my setup: 168v pack, 2000amp controller, 9" motor
223hp = 140v(under load) x 1400amps x .85 (motor eff.)
-----------------------------------------
746(watts eq. of 1 horsepower)
--------------------------------------------------
T = HP x 5252
rpm
651 ft. torque = 223hp x 5252(constant)
----------
1800 rpm
now notice I said 600 + , because at 500 rpm that's....... 2300 ft. torque, but that would be bragging and simply an unbelievable figure
I have narrow tires on my car for a reason......if I hook up this torque I would destroy[ my drive train in short order ! As it is my weak link is the torque tube splines. I have to replace my intermediate shaft once every few years.
Look forward to meeting and catching up with everyone next weekend.
