Default GT Porsche Magazine/S4 Article

Just got back from Barnes & Noble, the latest issue of GT Porsche Magazine has a very good 1987 S4-Auto Article, written by an Editor that never liked the 928 until he DROVE one. Check it out. No link to that article sorry.

Screwed ed up the scanned images order, here are the first 2 pages of the Retro Porsche piece on the 928 S4, followed by the cover of the mag and the remaining pages of the article.

Excellent, thank you for posting. Went looking for this issue when I first saw your post but mistakenly thumbed through the May issue to no avail. April must be off the shelves long ago.

Great example of a 928.

Nice to see the author finally discovered the virtues of the 928.

Enjoyed the article. Someone should tell the author it is even better with a five speed!

That was the only part I really liked, because he admits how ignorant he was of the 928, like so many other car guy's you see all over the web and in person who base their opinions of the 928 on nothing but repeated bias; the rest was the same as a million other pieces.

Yes thanks for posting.

You really need to drive the 928 in order to "get it", I'm one of the 911 guys that had the same short of epiphany and I'm really glad I made the decision to get one as my daily driver. It puts a smile on my face every day.

Thanks for posting.

Reread the last paragraph. The first three sentences are the important ones. The last two sentences are meaningless and in fact if they did, it wouldn’t be the same. It may be better, but, it wouldn’t be the same. It would be some new compilation of techno parts, not a 928. Just like there will never be another “Beatles” rock band, there will never be another 928. Timing is of essence.
