I have never measured the size of the barn door opening - perhaps 1 1/4" x 2 1/4"? If so, that is about 2 3/4 square inches of opening.
A NASCAR plate engine used to make about 650 HP @ 9000 RPM from four 15/16" venturis, which is just about the same area...
Of course, the rest of the intake tract and the rest of the engine are a little different.

Hey Dave, I didn't include this pic but i marked the factory setting with a white dot of paint and rotated geared wheel C.C. 10 positions to start. I stopped at ten because it is where i could start to feel a tension difference. I may try a few more spaces. I may also port some more some day. Just take your time removing the plastic cover of AFM mechanism so you don't damage it. It is siliconed on but it was really on there. I went around and around slowly applying pressure upward until it started to lift off. I used black silicone to reseal after cleaning all the old adhesive out.
Hey I will not need your most generously gifted part, tuns out it is not the issue, I will hold onto it for you or I can ship it back.
You should have it in case you need it.
Matt
