Thanks for the kind words. I'm really happy with it. Tonight I got the bearing caps cut and ground in. Center caps installed. Radiator nipple replaced and no sign of leaks. New jump post cap installed. Removed center console side cover (passenger) and re-adheased carpet. Picked up a new tie rod assembly, rack boots and a delrin rack bushing kit from 928 Intl. Im going to try and replace the tie rod, and install the bushings tomorrow night... Do you think this can be done in 4 hours time? Any special tool required to get the outer tie rod end off the steering knuckle?
Paint job was a fluke/nightmare/blessing...
My daughter hit the rear end if an suv in slow traffic. She called me and said "daddy...". I said "are you ok?" She was fine. The bumper cover, fenders, and hood got a little damage. My daughter paid my 500 deductable. Fortunately I had the 928 on my comprehensive. I paid about 700 out of pocket to get the rear bumper cover painted and a few dings fixed. They screwed up the job so bad the first time that I had a huge list of discrepancies. The insurance adjuster agreed and made them go for a "do over". They paid for a rental and they finally got it right. While they did make it right, it took almost 3 months for me to get my car back.. I would never recommend this shop to anybody looking to paint a 928. Modern plastic cars they can handle. Laquer Porsches? Not so much. Stay clear of Craftsmen Auto Body in Cerritos, Ca....

The shifter looks like one of Rick Heaney's - he disappeared out of the Aussie 928 scene about 3-4 years ago, so I'm not sure whether Mike's shifter is just old stock, or someone else is having them made now? (if they're no longer being made, perhaps Roger's plastics guy who makes the rear hatch liners could do them?)
Looks awesome Mike, congrats on having a new-looking Shark ![Big Grin](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
LSD make a big difference.. I'm missing it in my '87, but resisting the urge to take it apart and fit one (already did that to my '89), as its my DD and I just need to learn to keep it in one piece
