When you thought Fast was Fast along came Greg and Rob's GTS and that created a new "FAST"

I have never had so much fun with my clothes on.

Way to go Greg.

Yes! I believe that one day 3D printers will use Carbon as the material of choice. I bet most things will be constructed of carbon in the future... We will look back and laugh at our fear of it.

Finally found 2 hours to take the GTS to the dyno this morning, to see where we are with Greg's prototype intake. Turns out that I have a bunch more timing 'headroom' than I would have dared dial in, there were essentially no knock retards among 4 separate pulls.

Result? + 50hp, + 46 torques. Doing the old 1.15 multiplier for drivetrain losses, we're at ~519 chp. Not bad for 1987 computers, batch firing, and N/A.

Judging by the way the car feels I'm not surprised at the hp gain (truth be told, Greg was calculating there'd be more than 50 hp there...) but the increased AUC for the torque curve is a nice result. And 450 rwhp is plenty of juice, I'm getting to the limits of my comfort level when datalogging in the right lower quadrant of the maps...

Here's the dyno sheet comparing today vs. the previous best using the stock intake. Both use the Alpha N, headers and H-X exhaust, etc. etc.

And the obligatory 'pull' video:

He probably assumed your steering wheel would be straight. That costs you a bunch of torques due to, uh, increased friction.

Nice results. I'm surprised you haven't put EGT probes on each exhaust runner to see how the cylinders are being filled. You could mount a couple of these!

I think that hole at 3-3.5K is that pig-rich area that I didn't pull enough fuel out of between runs, still don't understand why that was there when it was not present in the AFR's when datalogging on the street.

Looks good. The cross-over point at 3500 rpm is in line with my expectations. Nice gains above 4000 rpm.

Tuomo, Mark came over to the dyno shop to watch, at the end of the first run he turned to me and said, 'Isn't that what Tuomo predicted?"

Side by side, sorta, my GTS vs. Anderson racer:

That's a damn fine looking dyno chart. Nice work guys.

Now get working on the 5 liter version, no more lollygagging around

Just for ****s and grins, I would love to see the stroker intake on an otherwise stock 5 liter.

No matter how good the dyno, the street loads things differently. Putting appx the same numbers out under boost my self...you have my

that's great..without the head aches of boost

I gotta say, I love me a good flat power curve . Just makes it more fun around town and nicer to drive, and that goes for all cars boosted or otherwise.

Luck of the draw...

If you are planning to use this intake on a specific engine, what's the redline on that engine?
