Default Oval wheels on my wagon

Hello all this is my first post in the 928 section. Last Sunday I was out in my 928 s2 I pulled out of a junction and struggled to find much traction leaving clouds of rubber smoke My car has been laid up for the last three years.I replaced the front tyres recently. Since this incident my car has the most terrible vibration running through the car.it feels like it has oval wheels!!!! Is there anything in the transmission that may have been damaged from my fast getaway? or do you think it probably is just were the rear tyres have sat in one place for a long period of time? The strange thing is there was no vibration until the fast getaway so the tyres were round then

Could be many things... Maybe give a better description of the vibration?

Feel it in the steering wheel?
The seat of the car?
Under acceleration?
At constant speed?
Under braking?
Does it vary by engine rpm?
Vary by speed?

That would at least allow us to rule out some systems.

Check that the lugs are all secure and then maybe look for any tire seperation.

Check that your blinker fluid is up to the full mark.

Non-hub centric wheel spacers?

Check the simple things first, inspect tires for obvious damage, make sure no wheel weights or sticky weights fell off, it does happen. Give us more info so we can diagnose it. Where does it feel like the vibration is coming from? Acceleration/load dependent? RPM dependent? First/second/third order vibration etc.

You could put the back wheels off the ground and have someone shift into drive while you listen for noise and feel for vibraton. Obviously make sure the car is sucured very well with good stands. I would guess some kind of joint or axle problem myself. I doubt that a burnout would damage a tire but entirely possible. Just ignore the childish blinker fluid remark. It was just so cool and so funny though.

I did not realise "blinker fluid " was a joke. I am aware that we use different terminolygy in England to you in the States. I am going to take the car out today and report back with a more accurate discription of what is going on

Reminds me of a radio prank from a few years ago. Dad played a prank on his daughter...

They will come loose that is why you need to check them after 100 miles. Good to hear you figured it out.

Well I now know what was wrong. My passenger side front wheel and the drivers side rear wheel were both loose.I am now wondering wether someone has tried to steal them? My car has 996 turbo wheels on it.I feel pretty stupid now as i only checked the drivers side front wheel to make sure it was tight. Lesson learned!!!! Thank you everyone for their help and support,I really appreciate it
