1984 928S 4.6 L VS 928S 4.7 L
I have a 928S 4.6 L according to the info given when I looked it up by the Vin, would parts fit from a 4.7 L engine, is there any difference??

There never was a 4.6L
1978-1982 is 4.5L (US spec) 1983/84 is 4.7L
What parts are you looking to interchange?

A lot of places on the web show them as 4.6L but as stated above a 4.6L was never made.

Because it's a 4.664L engine. Some sites truncate but Porsche rounds it up.

4.6 L
Well I'm looking to replace the back up switch and spark plugs, and other minimal stuff but I wasn't sure if that made a difference with the engine.
Well I guess I have a 4.7 L then

yup...what Glen said
All "4.7" 928 engines are 4664cc...... There really only are 4 engine sizes officially made by Porsche 4.5L (4474 I think), 4.7 (4664) 5.0 (49??) and 5.4 (53??)
