So I am not so crazy to have about 6 of the 13s in all different shapes and lengths. Its when you are working on something until late, drive the car the next day and realize that while everything is torqued down, one socket may have still been attached on the drive.
Maybe thats just me. Never mind - Forget I said anything.

I've also encountered
6,7 (various hose clamps)
11 (counterholding some captive nuts on engine bay brackets, and some small brackets on suspension)
14 (counterholding shifter linkage)
15 (counterholding fuel line fittings on FPR etc.)
20 (bolts for crown ring in the diff)
30 (cam gear washers),
32 (oil cooler lines)
36 (rear axle nuts, oil cooler heat exchangers etc).
Of course, you need to have a variety of ratcheting, flex head, stubby too.. and then mix it up a bit with stuff like reversible stubby ratcheting.
Pretty soon you're into the tools for more than the 928
Its a disease I tell you..

one thing I have learned in 9 years of 928 ownership........... Doc Brown knows all...... I learned this early on, but I was lucky enough not to need it...... My recent race 928 called upon his knowledge with no regrets.... Doc rebuilt a transmission for me that RULES.... Granted I am not an "old" man but one thing I KNOW is to call upon those with more knowledge than yourself.... Doc is one of those guys....
the only advice I KNOW....if you are considering anything 928 related that Doc can do for you....DO IT...yes on paper its pricey....but in the end you will be $$$$ ahead........

I have not bought anything from Precision or know Greg at any level beyond RL, but it is posts like this one that impress me the most..
I think this offers the greatest insight into his character and how it has allowed him to become the expert that he is on 928s. He has never allowed himself to quit learning, nor has he put his love and curiosity for the car on hold.
Experience is king.

Alot of miles now on this transmission greg rebuilt. It feels and sounds very good indeed. He even made it hold onto gears a bit longer for a more standard operation coming away from a stop light.
This one I will be unhappy to sell if am not done with my silver 5spd by that time.

Great idea but I think he has a SHORT list of approved brands which should be no surprise to anyone !! EVER SEE HOW A GOOD CHEF handles his knifes and god forbid anyone else ever touches them. Even my kitchen knife set is off limits to anyone else and yes I do ALL the cooking in my house, all the grocery shopping, plus most of the eating.
