VW (at least the earlier models) are the same pitch - M14x1.5, and may also have the same domed inner end. I have a set with my spare in case the closed end nuts wont seat on the spare.

There are any nuimber on ebay, California, Hong Kong, everywhere. Down to $3 each. Of course you have to separate out people who dont know the difference between a nut and a bolt, but at least the pics will tell you what to expect.

Certain European VW vans use correct M14x1.5 threads and have correct shape. Open ends are maybe $1.20 at local Pep Boys style parts stores.

I searched all over for the correct shaped open-ended steel lugs nuts and wound up finding them at my local Carquest for $1.50 each. Compared to all the others I looked at well made too.
