I don't think Sharks in Mississippi would work but "Sharks on the Missiissippi' would be OK too. I think you might be missing the play on words a little bit since our sharks named after water creatures. For this event I think it would be great to have something every year along the Mississippi. From the Gulf all the way up to Minn. there are some great locations, cities and roads along this great river to host an event, and Dubuque is sure one of them.

Yeah I thought about that but I can't figure out how to change the title of the thread. I actually was thinking of Sharks on the Mississippi but again I couldn't get the thread title to change.

Just got my AC going today so I feel a little better about bringing the Hotrod. I still hope to have my 87 Auto ready for the trip though.

Room booked - now where is my Berretta Super Sporting 12G

Jeff visited TX a while ago and brought some awesome steaks and chops with him - can't wait to try them again.

Wish I could make this one, too much work to get done around here. Not complaining though.

Roger, my firearm safe is open to whatever you want to take with you. If I recall, you have a few things stashed here also.

There is going to be a "name that sound" contest at the GTG. My car is making a funky sound from underneath that I can't locate. A free beer to the person to correctly identify it.

Do they shoot "sporting" or "super sporting" at the gun club?? How about a 928sRus trophy for the winner of any contest we set up?
What is happening Friday night for the out of towners?
This will be a ton of fun 8>)

Welp, after seeing this event (good thing i checked in) I finally joined! I've been lurking for years hoping to someday be able to utilize this wealth of knowledge on my own car... and someday finally came last September when i bought my first 928 and fulfilled a 20 year dream! Living in Iowa (Marion), I didn't expect to get too many opportunities to meet a lot of owners in person, but this event couldn't come at a better time and place for this lucky guy!!

Is there a registration page or just by responding am i in? I saw that it's $30, is that payable when we get to the event? I can't wait to meet you guys, see your cars and pick some of your brains as i need to work out some of my bugs! it needs a little TLC!

Until the next time, keep it between the ditches...

KRT

PS. Since i just joined, I don't have any personal info setup yet, but i'll state the obligatory here: 1986.5 Black/Black auto. I can't believe i just typed that!!

Basically you guys just show up, pay me (so I can pay for venue) and we are off. I can arrange something Friday night I am sure. Perhaps some people want come up to my house and we can play the name that noise game on my car the stands?

I'll try to arrange a drive and photo session for Sunday as well. Have some local roads that are fun. Might not be super long. Depends on where we go. 20-30 miles each way kind of thing then have lunch somewhere?

We have sporting clays and just regular trap shooting. Depends on what people want to do.

I'll have 10 cases of 12 ga shells there and 10 cases of birds. We have a kid that will be running the trap range so what we generally do is throw a 5er or 10er each his way as a way to say thanks.

There will be a cash bar all day Saturday for those who want to partake and we can then decide if people want to repeat the same on Sunday from there.

I got the shirts worked out. White?grey?blue. Any thoughts in color? State your size pleases I Know what to order. $30 registration gets a shirt. Helps offset cost of venue and meat.

Feedback at gathering will be welcome.
