Default New parts car- well done

Just got this today. I look at this like a grab bag. We just hope we find something. Years ago we bought an 89 GT like this and the trans turned out to be good. Todd Tremel bought the short block and the heads had melted intake flow into the ports. Todd said he got it out and used the heads with no issues. We will cross out fingers.

Good timing. I need a radiator and some seats. Those look perfect.

Does Pichai start drinking when a crispy critter rolls in? That can't be fun to take apart.

Yes. 10 days from now. But I'm doing the white one first.

In 2005 I bought an 89 very similar to this one out of Tampa (not quite as bad, you could still tell it was white).
I won the auction for $100. It cost $800 to get it delivered to Wisconsin...

I came out ahead, the engine is in another car, so is the transmission. Boxes of other misc parts I could probably use are somewhere in the shop.

Funny part of this story. I was in the back of an SUV on the way to my wedding when I got the call offering me this car. As I worked the deal my best mans mother was glaring at me through the rear view.
Once I hung up the phone she turned around: "Erik...did you just buy another Porsche on the way to your wedding???"
I dropped my head: "Yes mom" (we all call her mom).

I cannot remember who told Lorelei immediately after the ceremony. I'm pretty sure the thought process was: "Might as well get this fight over with".
