Euro car WITHOUT side markers/3rd light?

And yours is most definitely a Euro. You have the turn signals on the front fender behind the tire (between the tire and the door).
Interestingly, you don't have any marker lights on the front or rear corners. Those are required for proper federalization. Many times they are just cheap "Hardware Store" lights.
Which "3rd Light" do you mean?
If you are talking about the center mounted stop light (brake light in rear window), that's also part of the federalization process. Since you are missing markers, I'm not surprised it's not there.
If you are talking about the rear bumper mounted fog light, it isn't present on every Euro, it depends on what country it was sent to.
If you search "Euro vs US" or something similar, you will find several threads that talk about the differences and the federalization process and requirements.

Thanks Joe. The car I'm talking about is not the one in my avatar. I'm trying to upload a pic but looks like I'm just gonna join the group and pay the money so I can upload whatever I want. BTW I'm in Wausau Wisconsin .....

Its rare to have '80 MY without turn signal lights behind front wheels. Usually by that time they were included even in bare option German cars.

There seem to be lots of subtle differences in Euro models, probably depending on who was doing the certification.
