Looking at that link it looks like the MK2 is the way to go for me since I have an 87s4...would you agree?

Yes, you want the sharktuner Mark II (if you want to find relevant threads in the archives to read about it, search for 'ST2' ), a WBO2 sensor of your choice and a copy of Jim Corenman's Sharkplotter software. Without these tools, you're just guessing. And why guess when you can know?.

So the WBO2 sensor and the Corenman's software are sold separately of the MK2? Any idea off the top of your head what those run? I know I could search for the answer but I figure while I have your attention you may know.

Thanks Again to everyone who has chimed in.

Jim mentioned two popular WB02 sensors in this thread here:

https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...ark-tuner.html

You can get the LC-1 on AMazon for $160, or the LC-1 with a gauge (if you want one) on Ebay for about the same.

I'm a fan of the LM-1, which is no longer available new but can be found used in the $150 range as well. Downside is you don't know that the sensor itself hasn't been abused (ie- the car driven with the sensor not powered up), but new sensors can be bought separately for ~$50.

The Sharkplotter software is free after you mail in the proof of purchase boxtop from your ST2 purchase to Jim.

So I had this reply all put together about injectors and MAF's and fuel pressure, but it's all been covered...

Rob's info is spot-on, I've got ST2's in stock, and I've also got files for your 87/early-88 which will get you very close.

Stick with the stock FPR, or if you fit the adjustable then get a fuel-pressure gauge from Roger and make sure it is set to stock pressure. You can raise it later if needed (for more fuel), a better choice would be the 24# injectors mentioned above but you've got the adjustable FPR so that's the easier tweak, if needed. But get a gauge, don't assume it is set properly.

Send me an email for more info, support-at-sharktuner.net

Cheers, Jim

We have three Sharktuners in the Indianapolis area. Two are privately owned, and the third is an ST2 owned by a couple of the Indy928 members. Get yourself some PEMS and you can borrow it for the cost of a round of beers at the next get together.

WSM S4 FPR specs are 55 ±3 psi, cold +, hot -.

Note that fuel pressure is variable by engine temp, so I found it's most consistent to adjust an AFPR to 58 PSI, with the engine cold, fuel pump relay jumpered.

Yes, it would be good to have that initial help.

The sharktuner opens up a TON of new neat dials and switches.

They can be used improperly a lot easier than used properly.
