Default Mono Ball in a Koni for 928

I have been wanting to replace the rubber in my shocks with spherical ball bushings. Finally got around to doing it. Pictures for anyone who might be interested.

I bored the eyes and cut the snap ring grooves in a large lathe. Aprox 30" swing. You can't really see it in the piIctures but I made stainless steel bushings to take up the difference in size between the bearing O.D and the shock eye I.D Every thing is pressed together. with.001" intereference.

This type of link are often used or sway bar linkages too. More suitable for racing than street because of the dirt that will get between ball and cup. It will wear the joint out. Do you have a protective rubber shield for that?

The bearings are from fluor in Germany designed specifically for racing suspensions so thry are coorrosion resistant. The bushings are stainless steel and aluminiumn bronze so corrosion shouldn't be a problem.

You can get nice boots from Seals-it if you want to be safe:
