Stan, Thought you would never ask ! I do like your idea about a little pearl in there. Would look great with the blue. T

if your looking for a bit of funky there are a host of different pearl colors,
red, yellow, blue, green, pearl
most better paint shops have a large selection

Stan, Did look at some pearls last time GTS was in for paint. Maybe I will have the painter spray a few samples on Mon with & without. Back in the 70's a buddy painted his white 67 GTO with what was then called transmission pearl. Looked awesome, especailly at night. T

I had a 79 that I painted in ICE blue used Glasurit and medium build clear , and we added silver pearl to the clear,
you could only see the paint do a flip at night from the fluorescent lights but it sure was pretty
I should have never sold that car.

NOTE the color was similar to the sky in the P 51 picture at the top edge of the right external fuel tank

Last time the GTS was painted had the shop spray & clear 4 sample colors close to what my wife & I were after. After the decsion was made, the painter laid down a silver ground coat under the translucent basecoats. This did make the final result flip quite a bit. At times it looked greenish-blue, other times bluish-green. Just thinking this time around, wanted to paint the GTS a Porsche color. I know it's not period correct, but it's still a Porsche color code, and the other guy's ins co is paying a good chunk of it this time around. Also, a few of the delete's sunk just a little, not really noticeable but if you really looked you could see this. Austin has advised me that after more than 2 years, they are finished sinking. He also advised on how to prep them. I passed this advice along to the current painter. Tambra & I are really looking forward to the results. T

Since Beachy will be painted a classic retro 928 color,

it would be very cool to fit Jim Doerr's new 18" Phone Dials.
just a thought.

Already have Fikse FM-5's on there. Do like Jim's new dials though. T

I think those wheels will detract from the overall Blueness of the car. You definitely need new Blue phone dial wheels.
Best regards, Dinsdale

Case of Blu-Moon beer in the ice chest (hatch) and then you are ready for the beach. Wheels are sweet.
