Default Kempf tool & flywheel lock tool to borrow/rent in Toronto area?

Hey GTA Sharks! I am about to embark on my first TB/WP job (which kind of freaks me out, but that's another matter), and before I put the order in for parts I was wondering if anyone locally would be willing to loan or rent out their flywheel lock and Kempf tools for a little while. I don't want to buy what might end up being single use tools if I can avoid it, but I will if I absolutely need to. I would be willing to pay deposit or whatever you thought was fair. Anyways, just thought I would check on local availability first. Thanks!

Simon, i'd love to come and see you during this procedure, and learn first hand about the TB/WP job.I can't provide any experience or general knowledge, but am happy to lend some grunt and get my hands dirty...i'll even bring lotsa beer!
TB/WP is on my list for this spring/summer!

Other 928ers are always welcome! This is going to be my first stab at it, and I don't really know what the hell I'm doing either. I'll be following some of the guides that people have made and hoping I don't have any leftover parts at the end. I will almost definitely be doing the job a few hours at a time spread over many days, but you'd be more than welcome to stick your head in and see the latest thing that I'm stuck on.

If you're reading Pirtle, the most important step in your first tb/wp... is the dance. Trust us on that.

I would recommend that you forget the kempf tool and just get a porkensioner!

I can ship you my flywheel lock tool for a 90 S4 automatic. It should work for you.

Also, forget the factory tensioner and get a Porkensioner from Roger. If you need it, you can borrow my 32Vr and bumpstick if you want to check the timing on the cams.

Let me know. I'll be leaving for holiday tomorrow at 10am and back on the 20th.

I have the flywheel lock, well currently it's with MartinS. Once back you can borrow it. I have the tools for the crank pulley as well.

Glad to help as well. Then we can do my Motor Mounts. 😜

We need to do a GTA 928 event this year. In fact I just decide I'm going to plan it. Stay tuned for a thread.

Awesome! I missed the Fall Drive last year due to my car needing repairs, so I would love to meet everyone. I'll be keeping my eyes open for that thread!
