Awesome! I think I am going to pull the trigger on the 89 auto that I found that's been sitting for a while.

Nice deal. Since it drives around, that's somewhat safer bet. Clutch work is kind of a hassle on the 928, but it's not anything that is too weird.

Guess I'm waiting for a cassisrot at a decent price. Sigh,,,,,

Good find, Don. Congratulations.

I'll bet the clutch hydraulic problem is a hose.

Prolly right on the hose thing. To me, that was by far the worst part of the clutch work on the 928. I got so pissed, I just cut a hole in the fender to fit the damn thing. It was a nightmare.

Mark, you could be right. He said it's leaking so I'll check that out first. It just got washed and is about to go up in the air.

It's got all the original tools, and belly covers, and also large resonators which surprised me.

There's some liquid, could be clutch fluid, leaking out of the plug hole on the flywheel cover near the slave, so I'm thinking it's the slave. The rubber hose looks good.

Once you open that line to air, getting it bled is a j-o-b. Good luck.

James, hoping to keep the count to two, at least eventually. I'm thinking red 89 needs to go, but that car is a real screamer so it's going to be hard to part with. No hurry, I've got room.

This car does need work, but I'm hoping to get it drive-able by the end of the week, then start prioritizing what's needed. All jobs I have done before (except for the slave cylinder), so no big deal, just time and money :-)

Seems like a meant to be thing.

The best of luck with it.

You must be excited to have a 5-speed finally.
And you will appreciate the auto u keep more too,
when your leg gets tired.

Matt
