I should have said "prior to" 1981:

A history report is not available for vehicle identification number 00000000000000000.
Possible explanations why the report is not available include:

The seller didn't enter the vehicle identification number correctly.
The vehicle was manufactured prior 1981.
The vehicle didn't have a 17-digit vehicle identification number.
The vehicle wasn't intended for the US market (such as limited production exotics).

I wonder what $ went into it? i just made the mistake of adding up all the receipts for my 89 cab and its over $35K including the paint job and I am not done yet with a few things and I know I missed some... granted I went through mine completly... everything less pulling the engine, doing the heads and block, but i did all the work myself except the paint and powdercoating...

...at the end, thisi s still one ugly horse, I guess I should put mine up for $75k

bzzzzzzt. Still no. Unless it's a pre-81 with a transplanted rear bumper and lights, front facia, dash, and engine which is I guess possible. It appears to be an 89 chassis which has been highly modified. Nothing to do with pre 81 car.

She's just quoting the reason Ebay said it's not a valid VIN (0000000000000000). Typically 17 character VINs started after 81....

I believe it is a 89...he just hasn't produced the VIN for the listing.

Maverick had this one (painted black) at Sharktoberfest a few years back..

I would pay a grand to see a proof of destruction video of the car, you know; pushed off a cliff, burned to the ground, anything that would result in total fubar. Anyone else wanna chip in?
