One think for sure, it is not the most beautiful trip from Montreal - I know I made it 3-4 times in the late 80's ....

But Calgary is great ...

I'm in for Canada as long as it is NOT scheduled on a major holiday where families have plans.

Hi Malcolm:
That would be great! I would love to take the trip. About 1000 km +/- from here.

Keep us posted!

All the best from Horseshoe Bay!

Malcom,

I assume you and the city of Calgary would provide the same type of hospitality that Kitty and I experienced at the Calgary Stampede about 3 years ago. IF that is the case, then EVERY 928 owner in the world should plan to attend!!! We had a great time then, and if it's held, we'd love to try to get back. A long way to drive a 928 from the eastern US, but it would be a LOT farther in a 911 of the same vintages as our cars!!

Cheers, and hope it can work out for you'all and us. EH?

Depending on dates, I'd be up for that.

I would be up for flying up [especially if the DFW crew went as a group].

Malcolm,
So you weren't drunk when we talked you in to hosting OCIC in Canada.
I'm in as long as it is not a major holiday period.
I would drive no problem - would not miss it for the World.

Not be a long shot Roger........those US beers are a wee bit reduced in %

Appreciate everyones comments re major holidays and yes Gary we have the Calgary Stampede 10 days that consume every hotel bed of the city and surronding towns. Is there a major holiday in June?

Snow ends in May and returns in late Oct; most years

Just a suggestion for consideration - for OCIC we always chose a date somewhere in the middle between SITM and Sharktoberfest - hence August.

I will go and I would drive. Anytime in the summer to get away from the Texas heat would be great. It will be a lot easier for folks if it's not to close to a major holiday.

Here in Washington state they issue this enhanced license that allows US citizens to travel across the Canadian and I believe mexico borders by car. No passport needed. I believe the background check is a little deeper but issues the same day.
