Corrosion on coil wire

Corrosion on coil wire
Hi.
My 86.5 has been running fine but the idle always had a bit of hesitation. A few weeks ago the car developed a bad vibration between 2k and 3k rpm. Decided to check the wires and the drivers side coil wire had that blueish corrosion all over. First question: I was able to clean the wire side and it does run a lot better. How can I clean the actual coil contact? Also, it didn't have the snap like the side that connects to the distributor cap...is it normal on the coil side? Seemed a bit loose...
Maybe I should replace both the coil and the wire. Does anyone know if I can get just the coil wires? All other wires looked.
Thanks for the help.

how old are the other ignition wires?
If they are old then swap in a new set Roger has em get the Beru wires they are expensive but they work the best.
You can also buy individual coil wires , if the wire was all gunked up where it plugged into the coil then a new coil might be a good idea only use the correct Bosch coils

This is a sign that water/condesation got into the connection. So, after this is cleaned up, put some dielectric grease on the inside lip of the boot and around the outside of the boot where the passes into it. Do this to all the boots, at the coil, cap and plug ends.
You should be able to clean this up with electric contact cleaner or Deoxit. If the wires are not relatively new, it would be best to replace them, but even new wires are susceptible to water.
