Speaking of aggressive cams this is the cam I am going to have for the 6.5L 2V stroker carburetor build. The minimum safe bucket lifter diameter is 42mm (stock 2V lifter is 38.5mm). It is a mechanical grind. The maximum rate of lift velocity is quite high 0.175mm per crankshaft degree and for Tuomo the lift at 75.5 degrees ATDC is 14.7mm. It will be interesting to see how long this cam will last. The last graph is the stock S2 cam for comparison.

What's your rod length and stroke for this motor so I can figure out the peak piston speed degrees? Also, have you already posted the head flow curve somewhere?

Stroke 3.75", rod length 6.00". The heads are not made yet so no flow figures. I have some 2.150" x 7.00mm intake valve blanks lying around which hopefully can be installed. It is a matter of how much "meat" there are in the heads if a proper porting job can be carried out for that valve size. The carbs I have are Dellorto DRLA 48 and the intake runners will be similar to the ones shown here.

That rod to stroke gives maximum piston speed at about 74.5 degrees ATDC.

It'll be interesting to see what you can do with the heads. Certainly, the exhaust will also be critical with such a long overlap period.

Well the lift at 74.5 degrees ATDC is about 14.55mm. From earlier heads I have made the exhaust port flows very well over 230 CFM @ 14mm with the stock valve. Greg´s heads made by Pete in Australia flow 293 CFM @ .600" (15.24mm) of intake lift.

Great! ill call him..... so what was the zombie cam lift? i think i remember mark saying that they were about 1mm greater lift than the GT cams? true?

i think the GTS cams are just slightly better than the S4 cams but have better AOC values. somehow i remember the GTS cams being .5mm greater than S4 and GT being (or 85s) being 1mm greater lift.

I have 85 cams (like GT) , so more lift would be good.

an intake would be better! how about that lease for the intake???

The new Zombie crank appeared at Greg's today- I don't know what to say except to drool a little, mention how shiny it is, and note that at 54 lbs 2 oz it's about 8.5 lbs lighter than a stock GTS crank.

This is the last major bit for the new Zombie motor, it's all just ('just'.....) assembly now.

Looks like it belongs on the space shuttle! wow!

who makes it?

Are you not going to get some time at willow with a stock'ish motor first?

The crank looks great, how much? Is the stroke 3.750"? What size are the rod journals?

Oooooh! Pretty new metal motor pieces!

There's a certain joy that comes with having a worktable layed out with bits like this. It's engineering and manufacturing art, really. Of course, during the course of fit up and assembly, each piece will be installed and removed at least three times as assembly proceeds. Something satisfying about getting everything fitted up perfectly too.

Åke, I believe that is a GTS-stroke crank (85.9mm) with smaller rod journals for Chevy bearings.
I think this is #2 with that stroke, the first one went somewhere.
Greg's crank thread is here: https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...-are-here.html

Yes, I should have posted these pics there, was probably the more appropriate thead for the pics, I just got excited. Will cross-post them there for posterity.
