Default Help: Lost door key

Well I did it! Lost my only key and the of course the car is locked
I called my local tow truck operator and within minutes
he concluded that he would being doing more harm than good.
Brian and Bauer here in Oakland suggested that I call Porsche.
I do have an ignition key but not a door key. Bummer is I seldom
lock the car.
Any advice?
Van

Remove the rear quarter window, right side seal was cheaper than the left the last time I priced one.
As you will need to cut the rubber.

^^^^ I don't remember having the cut the rubber. Just a few trim/panel tools and some soapy lube.

I agree that it make for good access.

Hi John, you'll risk breaking the glass, now if you can push Glass from the inside than no need to cut the seal, but unless someone got locked "in" the car...

In that photo thread the rubber look cut too me, yes?

Mark, I've read about this and I know where this "access panel" is located. But, has anyone ever really done this? It seems somewhat of a myth.

On OBs, you can remove the battery box from the transaxle and have a toddler crawl thru the battery door.

.... Not really, but it was fun to think about it.

You can unlock the door using the hook from a wooden coathanger (or any other suitably stiff hook with about a 2" diameter).

Here's the correct Porsche tool:

Push the lock **** up from beneath. Here's a post with pics of a coathanger used for this by Bill Ball:

Here's the instruction sheet
