Get a custom replacement set from Hans for less than the factory switches. You can get them illuminated and you can customize the logos on them to an extent.

I think Roger at 928sRUs sells the Hans/Paul switches that mimic the stock functionality (what you already have in your car), and from what I gather it's pretty much a direct swap with your current switches. If you want some extra fancy functionality (one touch windows down, kick down switch, etc.) I think you can contact Paul Champagne through his website and let him know what you're looking for and he'll set you up.

Here's a link to the thread about the window switches. It's reminding me that I have to buy these myself.

I have a similar set but I have a sunroof so there are two more buttons. I opted for the ejection seat as well. Kids are still afraid to touch it and quiet down when I threaten them. Loving that while it lasts.

I need to get one of those "inserts" myself, do you need to reuse your existing connections and cut off the switches then solder the wires to the corresponding terminals on the insert? How does it adapt to the stock switch connectors?

Edit: I need to read every post before posting... the link above explains it all, just crimp on and go looks like.

on my 1990, it was plug and play, came with the correct plugs etc, took about 20 minutes to install, the only extra i purchased from elsewhere was the metal insert that comes with the full leather console option, even though mine is vinyl in my eyes it looks better when installed with the metal surround.

For your question, if you have a leather consul you may be missing the insert for switches.
