Sandy flood car
Well one of the first Sandy cars just sold at auction. It's a 1987 that looks like it was flooded to the roof. It sold for $1,300
I'd post a picture but RL has limited my storage space now and nobody seems to be able to do anything about it.

I've heard estimates that insurance companies totaled over 30,000 cars for flood damage. In theory, they can only be sold through salvage auction and there is a title registry for all of them. I'm betting some will slip through the cracks.
I too have lost much storage space on rennlist. Many of my tutorials with pictures are gone. Oh well, they did it to themselves.

The lot full of 300 Fiskers that drowned is NOT being covered by insurance because it was being used as a repair facility and not listed with the insurance company as such. Seems Fisker had transport insurance and insurance at stated facilities BUT NOT for this site.....so a $30 million hit to a nearly bankrupt company. Wonder what will happen to those "cars"?

Sorry to veer off into nonsense, but just read the Fisker story ... and this guy's response ... where's Dismore, let's do it!
Step 1: Buy remaining Karmas from failed automaker.
Step 2: Swap-in GM LS motor.
Step 3: Sell for half the MSRP ($50,000 or so) Fisker was looking for.
Step 4: ?????
Step 5: Profit!

it shows ok for export
