Sure, maybe not. I did take off all the connections, clean the lugs and posts, wiggle everything quite a bit before and after I put them together, but this was awhile ago before the specific comments about the crimps themselves. So, I may not have been thorough enough. I'm going back in there next week.
Bill, these crimps are 25 + years old, please home in on them - run a bypass cable ( one side of a jump set even) and see what happens. I have a back up test cable i use any time i suspect a bad battery to starter or jump post, just because !
